Introductions: The Beginning of Better

I’m Stephanie, I'm a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, Qualified Supervisor, Author, Psychology Today Contributor, and Public Speaker. Over my near decade  of work, I've sat with and witnessed the lives and stories of hundreds of couples and families. I know what works and what doesn't. I know WHY you're disconnected, and what to do to get Back to Better. I use principles from the extensively researched and proven Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Model, which has been named the Gold Standard for Couples Therapy by the American Psychological Association. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic, evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, drawing primarily from attachment theory to facilitate the creation of secure, vibrant connection with self and others. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFT helps clients identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress. With all of my experience it’s time to make what I’ve learned and what I’ve taught available to more than just those that can make it to my couch. It’s time to make that knowledge accessible to all who want it.
