Welcome to the Communication for Connection Course
This is for You If….
In your relationship you’ve found that you fight over the same things again and again.
Defensiveness and blame are commonplace.
Talking about vulnerable things is near impossible.
Sweeping things under the rug feels like the only thing you can do.
You know you love each other, but you also know there’s got to be a better way of communicating.
Do You Want…
To feel connected and in control of your relationship together.
To be able to talk about even the hardest moments of your lives together without blame, criticism, or punishment.
To grow closer through conflict, not further.
And stop sweeping things under the rug, once and for all, but instead bringing all the pieces of your relationship to the table and building something beautiful out of it.
If so, then this is for you. In this course we’re going to learn:
What a Healthy Relationship Is
If it’s Really as Simply as “Good Communication”
Where Communication Breaks Down and Common Pitfalls
Our Brains When We Try to Communicate About Hard Things.
Exploring What You Saw When It Came to “Communication” in Your Home Growing Up.
What Are We REALLY Trying to Say? And How Do We Say It Better?
Exploring Patterns You Repeat and Your Why for Changing Them
Barriers to Better
Identifying Your Specific Needs for Communication
Best Practices: How to Communicate For Connection
Thank you for taking the time to invest in your relationship. Let's get started.
In this Module we’re going to learn the difference between secure and insecure attachment and why a healthy relationship is so important to work towards. And how we get there comes down to more than just “good communication".
In lesson 1 and 2 we’re going to learn about when communication breaks down, common communication pitfalls, and why we get sucked into communication like this when we know we love each other.
In this Module we'll be learning about how our histories shape us, and how we can transcend those patterns in order to shape our own dynamics that work for us in our marriages.
In this Module we’re going to learn if our patterns are worth keeping our updating, our WHY for doing this hard and yet important work, and the barriers that may try to stop us.
In this Module we’re going to learn about our own and our partners emotional needs and best practices for better communication.
