Get Unstuck and Get Closer to Certification
You don’t need another massive training right now. You need a place to practice the model in real life, get help when you’re stuck, and hear how other therapists are actually using EFCT with their very human, very reactive couples.
The EFCT Skills Lab Membership is a monthly space for EFT and couples therapists — whether you’re just learning the model or on the path to certification.
This membership allows you access to:
Monthly group calls where I teach specific aspects of the model and answer questions
Monthly Q&A where I answer your specific questions on a live group call
Access to our call replay library via the private community boards
Access to all digital download therapist resources (that otherwise need to be purchased individually).
Access to the community topic boards where you can ask myself and each other your EFCT questions
Founding member rate: $79/month
Includes it all.
Join now to gain instant access to the community, our calls and your included digital downloads.
The Skills Lab Membership is designed for therapists who:
Have done or are doing EFCT Externship/Core Skills, and want real-world support applying it with their couples.
Love EFCT in theory, but sometimes feel lost, frozen, or clunky in live sessions.
Want regular exposure to scripts, demonstrations, and case discussions without committing to a big, time-limited program.
Are on the certification path (or EFCT-curious) and want steady growth between formal trainings and supervision.
Feel tired of trying to piece together confidence from random webinars, old training notes, and shame spirals after tough sessions.
The Skills Lab is your ongoing practice space for EFCT — a place where we slow sessions down, look at the “micro-moves,” and translate theory into what you actually say and do next Tuesday at 3pm.
Inside the membership, you’ll get:
Live Skills Labs where we walk through real cases, Tango moves, and in-the-room decisions.
Q&A / Office Hours, so you can bring your actual “I got stuck here” moments.
Access to a growing replay library organized by themes (Stage 1, Stage 2, affairs, withdrawal, pursuers, de-escalation, etc.).
Occasional cheat sheets, scripts, and mini-resources you can grab and use with clients.
This is not:
Formal ICEEFT supervision (we’ll be clear about what counts).
A replacement for core training or supervision.
A shame-y “you should know this already” space.
It is:
A gentle, practical home base for real-world EFCT skill-building, month after month.
(What to expect.)
Format (monthly):
🎓 1 x Live Group Skills Lab Call (90 minutes)
Case walkthroughs, live teaching on specific moves, roleplays and more.
💬 1 x Live Group Office Hours / Q&A (60 minutes)
Bring your questions, stuck points, and mini-vignettes; we’ll troubleshoot together.
🎥 Replay Library Access
Miss a call? Everything goes into a members-only library organized by topic and stage.
📎 Downloadable Resources
Short handouts, prompts, and scripts tied to themes we cover in the calls (e.g., de-escalation scripts, Stage 2 deepening prompts, supervision prep checklists).
Cadence:
Month-to-month membership — stay as long as it’s helpful, leave when it’s not. No contract commitments.
Founding Member Rate – $79/month
For this first round of EFCT Skills Lab, you get everything for $79/month: live group calls, community access, replay library, and full access to all of my digital downloads while you’re a member.
After the founding round, the price will increase to $97/month, but your founding rate is locked in as long as you stay active.
(FAQ below contains more details on pricing.)
Some things we will cover.
Stage 1 De-Escalation
How to track the cycle, catch your own activation, and find words when the room is hot.
Stage 2 Restructuring the Bond
What it really sounds like to assemble emotion, deepen, and set up/respond to enactments.
Stage 3 Consolidation
Applying new skills to old problems and preparing your couples for graduation
Tango in Real Life
Marking the five moves make sense in your head so that they can make sense in your own work.
Working with Withdrawers & Pursuers
Scripts and moves that help each partner feel seen instead of blamed.
Affairs, Injuries, & High-Intensity Couples
Gently applying the model when trust is shattered or reactivity is sky-high.
Bridging Skills Lab to Supervision & Certification
How to bring what you’re learning here into your supervision, tapes, and (if you want) certification journey.
Each month may focus on a specific theme, but always with room for your real cases and questions.
Feel less alone and less behind as you grow your EFCT skills.
Develop more automatic language for key moments (softening blame, setting up an enactment, reflecting and heightening emotion).
Start to see your own sessions through a Tango and attachment lens, not just in hindsight but in the moment.
Walk into escalated couples sessions with a few solid moves in your back pocket instead of a spinning mind.
Have a steady, sustainable way to keep EFCT “turned on” in your practice — rather than intermittent bursts of learning followed by long stretches of confusion.
A little bit about me.
I’m Stephanie Cox, MS, LMHC, a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and EFCT Supervisor.
Here’s what I know from being on both sides of the room:
After Externship and Core Skills, most therapists love EFCT but feel very alone trying to use it with real couples.
Supervision is valuable, but it’s often focused on a few cases and a few moments — there’s rarely space to just practice the moves and language in a lower-stakes environment.
Certification can take 18–36 months, and in that in-between time, it’s easy to lose momentum, confidence, and clarity.
I created Skills Lab to be the space I wish I’d had:
Somewhere between training and supervision, where you can:
Watch the model broken down into digestible pieces
Ask “Is this even Stage 2?” without shame
Hear that you’re not the only one who freezes when someone yells “You never listen!”
A place to keep growing (with others) even if you’re not ready for a certification pod or application help yet.
My style is warm, practical, structured, and very “let’s talk about what you actually say when you’re in the room.”
FAQ section
You've got questions. We've got answers.
A: No. Skills Lab is skills-focused education and support, not formal supervision. If you need supervision hours for certification, the Certification Supervision Pod is the better fit. Skills Lab is meant to complement, not replace, supervision.
A: Nope. Skills Lab is for anyone actively using or learning EFCT with couples — whether you’re EFCT-curious, early in your journey, or already moving toward certification.
A: My current 1:1 consultation rate is $225/hour. In Skills Lab, you get:
Two live group calls most months (1.5 hr Topic Call + 1 hr Q&A = 2.5 hours with me)
Ongoing access to a private community
Replays you can revisit
Full access to my entire digital download library while you’re a member
If you added that up à la carte, it would look more like:
$450+ per month in 1:1 time equivalent
$14–60/month just on PDFs and small resources
Plus the cost of one-off workshops and consults when you feel stuck
Skills Lab is priced as a sustainable professional development space, not a one-off webinar. My goal is to make it possible for you to:
Get regular, grounded EFCT support
Shorten the “I’m confused and flailing” phase
Use your supervision and certification hours more efficiently
I wanted this exact kind of space when I was in your shoes—something between training and supervision that didn’t cost another $225 every time I had a question. Pricing it at $79/month for founding members (and $97/month later) reflects both the value of what you’re getting and my desire to keep it accessible for therapists who are serious about growing in EFCT.
A: All calls will be recorded, and you’ll have access to the replay library as long as you’re a member. You can also submit questions in advance for select Q&A calls.
A: Nope. It will be month-to-month with no long-term contract. You stay as long as it feels supportive.
A: You’ll get a welcome email with instructions on how to access the community, your new included resources and the schedule for our next call.
